Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE)

The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is  privately held national level board of school education in India. With around 2,213 CISCE schools in India. This board mainly focuses on subjects like English,Humanities,Commerce and Science and has approach on 3 different streams with more volume compared to CBSE and has English + SUPW as a compulsory subject .Their criteria of assessment is understanding level,skill development,knowledge and its application. The complexity level is more strigent than CBSE and teaches concepts in an advance level.The board has prescribed list of textbooks and syllabus. International Baccalaureate

International Baccalaureate is a non-profit educational organization that offers prime quality programmes for children aged between 3 and 19. These IB schools are considered prestigious, at the same time expensive. With around 141 IB schools in India. This board mainly focuses on subjects like Humanities,Commerce , Science and Languages.The board  has approach on 6 different subject groups and choose 1 from each.The board has Creativity Action Service(CAS),Extended Essay(EE),Theory of knowledge(TOK)as a compulsory subject .Their criteria of assessment is tough and demanding curriculum,students evaluated in various ways in addition to written exams.The board has prescribed list of textbooks with recommended reading. Students mostly arriving at foreign universities or looking for global skills development can take up this board.

 Cambridge Assessment International Education (Cambridge International)

Most schools in India are now getting affiliated to Cambridge International. Cambridge International conducts the IGCSE ,AS and A Level exams. Cambridge International is part of the University of Cambridge and curriculum starts from Primary, Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary to Advanced. This is called the Cambridge Pathway.  Cambridge Pathway gives students a clear path for educational success from age 5-19.With around 310 Cambridge schools in India. This board mainly focuses on subjects like Humanities,Commerce , Science and Languages.The board  has approach on 70 different subject groups and with no fixed subject combinations. The board has Global perspective and research as a compulsory subject .Their criteria of assessment is quite demanding and demanding The board doesn’t provide prescribed list of textbooks with recommended reading. Students wanting to study an international curriculum with wide acceptability can take up this board.
